What will we do next? What are some concrete actions that we can take in the near future?
Is it possible for a teacher to be an excellent teacher if he/she does not use technology? [see this key questionfor another way to ask this]
AND if you decide change is what you want..
What a great session with Karl Fisch, use his blog often, thanks. I'd like to introduce the English teachers present to an existing online world called CyberEnglish. Many English teachers have found it useful to help them get started. Many are members NCTE and a listserve hosted at interversity.org called engteach-talk Open discussion list for English teachers everywhere. I hope you find what others have done useful in your own quests and inquiry about using technology in the English classroom from the CE website and from the list. I may not really be about change as much as about evolution and shifting your paradigm and practice of teaching. good luck, may the force be with you, and rock on.

web 2.0 has become the latest BUZZ word in education concerning the use of technology. what does it mean?
for me it means more democratic interaction among users, like this wiki. there is a democratic interaction among users. in a classroom a teacher may start a conversation and students can be more actively involved simultaneously, not just one talking at a time. also in web 2.0 the user of the technology has more control and can actually alter it, rather than be stuck using a software that is not changeable.
i have a link to many web 2.0 apps
i look forward to seeing this page develop, chris.
